Transaction Delay Analysis
The ESAXACT report is used to determine what a server or user
or system in general is waiting for. If a server waits 50% for
a paging resource, then paging and storage improvements will
make that server run better.
This data is provided for all users, user classes and for the
system on the ESAXACT report (ESAMAP) and display (ESAMON).
There are numbers reported from two different sources on this
report. The data provided on the system line (with the time stamp)
provides low frequency data. The rest of the data is much
more accurate as it is based on a high frequency sample. Sampling
a user 60 times a minute vs. 1 time per minute makes for higher
accuracy.
