zTCP
The zVPS Network Data Collector The zTCP component of zVPS provides performance data collection for network devices and servers

zTCP is a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) client that runs on z/VM and measures the performance of Linux hosts and applications running almost anywhwere.

It runs in a service machine that writes performance data received from SNMP to the standard VM monitor data stream. The zMON and zMAP machines then process the data.

To manage multiple TCP/IP networks, IP addresses, physical network connections and security authorizations are required.
